Seafood Processing Plant Automation
We were engaged by a seafood processing plant to automatically regulate temperature in different parts of their plant to maintain freshness and quality of their product. Temperature requirements ranged from 27 degrees to minus 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures in each location were required to be maintained at a specific set point within that range.
To achieve the required results, we automated the feedback between temperature sensors and the relevant compressors, fans and flow control devices. We used dedicated SCADA screens and Programmable Logic Controllers to handle all areas. User friendly screens were designed for easy operation by their employees.
After installation, they were able to precisely control temperatures as needed. This resulted in higher quality seafood for their customers with less loss due to spoilage.
